Who this agreement is with
This agreement is between you and YUMA IT PTY LTD (ABN 62 684 389 839), 49 Phillip Ave, Watson ACT 2602, Australia (hello@yumait.com.au). "BlakTail software" means the coordinator, relay, agents, console and related code you run in your own environment.
The open-source code
BlakTail source code is published under the Apache License 2.0. Where you use the code under that licence, the Apache licence terms apply and nothing in this agreement takes those rights away.
What you may do
We grant you a non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to install, run and modify BlakTail software in environments you control, for your organisation's own networking.
- Run as many copies as you need inside your organisation.
- Modify the code to suit your environment, subject to the Apache licence for the open-source parts.
- Engage us to help deploy, harden and monitor it under priority support.
What you may not do
- Present BlakTail as a hosted service of your own without making clear it is self-run software you operate.
- Remove licence or attribution notices from the software.
- Use BlakTail to intercept traffic you have no authority over, or to break any law.
AWS Marketplace purchases
If you subscribe through AWS Marketplace, billing is handled by AWS under your Marketplace agreement. The software still runs in your AWS account under your control; we operate no BlakTail cloud and hold none of your network data.
Priority support
Priority support covers assisted deployment into your AWS environment, configuration hardening, and monitoring with you. Support is a service engagement, not insurance: you remain responsible for your environment, credentials and backups unless we expressly agree otherwise in writing.
No warranty
BlakTail is pre-release software supplied as is. To the extent the law allows, we exclude implied warranties. Your rights under the Australian Consumer Law are not excluded — see the Terms for the guarantees that apply to paid services.
Liability
To the extent the law allows, our liability is limited to resupplying the service or the cost of resupply. We are not liable for loss of data, revenue or opportunity arising from your self-run deployment.
Governing law
This agreement is governed by the laws of the Australian Capital Territory, Australia.
